Riyadh Metro Project comprises of six lines; Lines 1 & 2 viaducts piling works were awarded to TREVIASC in 2014 and along the course of construction from 2014 to 2017 several piling works have been added to TREVIASC’s scope of work. The diameter of the piles are 3.0m (with occasionally a dia. 4.0m cap) for the monoshaft foundations and 0.60m, 1.20m & 1.50m for the multiple shaft foundations, where the pile lengths vary from 6.0 m to 25.0 m depending on the rock level formation. Due to the large pile diameter and extended length of some piles, a 29-ton reinforcement has been recorded to be the heaviest reinforcement installed. The project is nearing completion, at the end 542 nos. of 3.0-4.0m diameter piles and 294 nos 0.60-1.50m diameter piles will have been installed.
