Soil Investigation
TASC’s Head Office houses the Soil Investigation Unit which undertakes field investigations for projects at tender or construction stage. In-situ tests are performed to determine typically the density and nature of the subsoil formations and samples are extracted for laboratory strength and index testing. Other types of field and laboratory tests can be also be performed as per project specific needs.
Reports are prepared to serve as basis for the geotechnical aspect of the project design.

Dewatering
Dewatering operations are an inherent part of most shoring projects undertaken by TASC, since in the vast majority of cases, excavation depth exceeds the existing ground water table depth. Dewatering systems typically consist of either deep wells with submersible pumps or well point sytems in appropriate number as necessary and per the required flow capacity to maintain a dry working platform throughout the excavation works. Dewatering is maintained till the dead weight of the structure being built can safely sustain the ground water uplift
pressure that will act on it.
